Documind Corporate
Solution (DCS) is NOVADYS' solution for departments
and SMEs.
Starting at
10 seats, Documind CS is the ideal solution for small
or medium sized companies.
Documind CS can be accessed through a Windows or a Web
client.
The following
features are available (if not marked differently, features
are available in both Web and Windows clients):
- Document capture, OCR and indexing (Windows client
only)
- Electronic archiving and storage
- Electronic document retrieval
- Full text and index search on nearly all document
types
- Full text and index search on emails (Documind CS
only; Outlook 2000 or better required)
- Macros for Microsoft Word/ Excel
- Direct sending of the retrieved information (email,
fax, printer; Windows client only)
- User Administration
- System administration (Windows client only)
In Documind
Corporate Solution, adminstrators can assign access
rights and privileges to their users and groups.
Access rights
are used to manage archive access, three levels of access
can be granted:
- search
- search and import
- search, import and administration
Privileges
on the other hand are not archive but system based:
- change password
- create archives
- manage users
- forward retrieved documents as emails
- super user (a special privilege, that includes all
other privileges as well as full access to all archives)
Optional modules:
- Automatic import of documents (Windows client only)
- WORM support (documents will be stored in a special
depot, and can be written to CD/ DVD, including MD5
checksums to detect manipulation; Windows client only)
- Barcode module for the text recognition
- Software Development Kit (SDK) to integrate full
text support in 3rd party applications (can be used
with all programming languages with DCOM support)
